Children
Children's clothing is a fun genre--and undeniably cute! I have a number of patterns that I have made repeatedly for babies to young children, but you can also commission custom pieces for your child.
Custom girl's dress. I made a dress for a client. Her young daughter absolutely loved it and wanted her own version. Luckily there was just enough fabric left! One change I incorporated with the girl's version is a way to convert the skirt from full length to knee length. I sewed buttons around the inside of the hem and then stitched small elastic loops to the inside of the waistband so that the hem can be buttoned up to shorten the skirt. Printed cotton voile with button front, elastic waist and ruffle sleeves.
Custom girl's dress. I made this princess dress with cape for a friend's daughter. The top is based on a pinafore with gathered ruffle sleeves. The skirt is straight with a gathered waist. The dress is made from purple embroidered net and lined with soft purple knit; the cape is unlined with a large rhinestone button at the neck.
Retro baby onesie. Criss-cross straps with button at front bib, elastic at back waist and leg openings, printed cotton.
Child's overalls. Adjustable straps criss-cross at the back and tie at the front, printed cotton
Toddler pinafore. Sleeveless dress with wrap back and scalloped hem, printed cotton with cotton bias tape.
Girl's dress. A-line shape with front pockets and elastic at neckline with ruffle sleeve; printed cotton (some have contrast hem bad and/or pockets).
Girl's dress. Full swing shape, front pocket and tie straps; printed cotton (some have contrast hem band and/or pocket).
Child's hooded towel wrap with animal design. Terrycloth.
The animal is customizable. Here are examples with a lizard and an owl, but I have also made ducks and frogs.
